Camilla Engevik
Camilla Engevik studied photography at Falmouth University in England, and has for the past two years worked on her own art projects on the Helgeland coast in northern Norway. She works a lot with deconstructing ideas and images, to create new visual constructions and meanings.
The images launched at OsloNowhere are inspired by the sea and the unique landscapes around the northern Norwegian coastline, and explore new techniques in photography and mixed media. Instead of recreating the motif, Engevik tries to redefine ideas. textures and approaches to the sea and nature.
"I often experiment with a number of different techniques and media. On several occasions, questions have been asked as to whether the abstract series Untitled (2015) is photography or painting - I tend to answer both, but not in the way one would think. "
