Karl Bryhn

Karl Bryhn lives in Oslo where he works with painting and video.

He has produced two award-winning short films and has extensive experience in animation and film. The paintings represent a counterpart to this.

He is interested in the value of the static image in a world filled with moving images and the painting's special position as a non-reproducible object. It has no start, no end, it is static but still changes all the time through meetings with viewers.

He likes cats, prog-rock and science fiction, and is not very animated himself.
